Daley & Associates is accepting applications for one paid 2018-2019 articling student.
The articling student will be exposed to court attendance, drafting, and legal research. There may also be opportunities to participate in lawyer-to-lawyer negotiation, and in the settlement negotiation processes. A keen sense of professional responsibility, awareness of and attention to business needs, excellent writing skills, and strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential. Our office environment is friendly, presenting a welcoming and professional image and atmosphere for clients and professional visitors alike.
Candidates with a driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle will be preferred as there will be a need to travel between the office, the courthouse, other offices, and other institutions throughout the articling term. A fluent and professional command of English is essential. The ability to communicate in other languages is valuable but not required.
Experience and a keen interest in family and/or real estate law would be an asset.
